Meet Ms. Hogan

Hi! I'm Kelly, and I'm so happy you're here.

For more than 17 years, I've had the privilege of helping children discover their creativity, build confidence, and experience the joy of making art. Teaching has never been just a job for me. It's a calling and one of the greatest joys of my life.

I believe every child is creative. Some simply need encouragement, patience, and someone who believes in them before they begin to believe in themselves.

Throughout my career, I've taught both elementary and high school students, developed art programs from the ground up, written curriculum, and created classrooms where students feel safe exploring, asking questions, and expressing themselves. I've also taught students with a wide range of learning styles and abilities, which has shown me that there is no single path to success. Every child learns differently, and that's something I embrace.

I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Art Education from Minnesota State University, Mankato, before moving to Arizona to begin my teaching career. Later, I completed my Master of Arts in Teaching and Educational Leadership at Grand Canyon University, graduating with honors. Over the years, I've had the opportunity to develop district curriculum, create online art courses, lead student art exhibitions, and help thousands of young artists grow in both skill and confidence.

As a homeschool and after-school art instructor, my goal is to provide more than just art lessons. I want every student who walks through my door to feel welcomed, encouraged, and inspired. My classes are designed to balance strong artistic foundations with creativity, exploration, and plenty of opportunities for students to develop their own unique style.

Parents often tell me they appreciate the positive, structured environment I create. I believe children learn best when they feel respected, supported, and excited to come to class. Whether your child is an experienced young artist or is simply curious to try something new, my goal is for them to leave each class feeling proud of what they've accomplished.

Outside the classroom, I'm a proud Minnesota native, an even prouder mom to my son, Jameson, and someone who still finds inspiration in everyday life. I enjoy spending time outdoors, listening to music, cheering on the Minnesota Vikings, and, of course, creating art.

Thank you for taking the time to learn a little about me. I would be honored to be part of your child's creative journey, and I look forward to welcoming your family into the studio.
